For Fathers Day my family decided to get together and eat crabs. Before we were supposed to meet up my mom calls me and asks me to pick up some potato salad on the way. No big deal right?
I swing by the new Kleins
Shop Rite because it was easier to pull into. Making my way to the deli counter I notice people standing in lines waiting to be served. So I of course get in one and wait my turn. After a few minutes the clerk finishes with the person in front of me and then he just walks off.... I wait for a few seconds until it becomes clear that he is just doing some busy work before I ask if I could get some help. The clerk looks at me and then says
"we go by numbers here" and looks at a now serving sign above his head. Keep in mind the whole time I was standing there, not once did any of the clerks call out a number or ask for a ticket from anyone. I look around the counters, and no where do I see any kind of device to get a number from. So I ask the clerk,
"Ok where do I get the number tickets from?" he just looks at me like I'm some kind of alien and then goes back to what he was doing.
I walk out and happily go to the Giant down the street where there wasn't even a line. That being the last time I will ever be going to the
Shop Rite again.
