Recently I bought a Wii and a Wii Fit as I came to the conclusion that it is probably cheaper then paying for a Gym Membership I won't use. So far it's been pretty good, and I enjoy doing the workouts at home rather then going to a gym. However, as I unlocked and tried new exercises, I started to notice something that was a little frustrating.

If you haven't used the Wii Fit, whats wrong with you everyone has!, *laughs* seriously though, it's an exercise "game" that uses a board to measure the pressure you put on it and can track your center of balance. On the screen a trainer shows you what you are "supposed" to be doing, and it uses the board to attempt to figure out if you are doing it correctly. And that is where my frustrations have come from, and I'm sure anyone else who has played it will know what I am to say.

Before you start a new exercise, the trainer will show you how it is done. The trainer will usually move very slowly and pause to try to point out how you should be moving and look doing it. However, once the exercise starts and you are being measured, the trainer moves 10x faster. Being the first time attempting an exercise, it often becomes hard to keep the same pace as the trainer while you are still trying to do it correctly. Of course if you fall or become unbalanced, the trainer just keeps going. Then comes my favorite part. On most of the exercises the trainer will tell you to move "slowly" and focus on making sure you are moving the correct muscles. BUT the trainer is not moving slowly at all! So if you even attempt to slow down and do what the trainer asks, you fall behind in reps fast. Thus forcing you to re-do the exercise if you want to get in some of the reps you missed.

This isn't something that would make me stop using it, but it is a gripe that I am sure I am not alone in feeling. I'd love to hear some other stories.

i get what you're saying. i barely use my wii fit because i don't like it that much... but if you haven't tried it yet, you're crazy (not you, high wing. i just meant you as in the random person). if you don't like it AT ALL, well, ouch. there's some fun stuff on there.
